Dr Baker is professional yet approachable with an informative, balanced and objective approach to treatment.

Dr Baker uses his professional experience in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to assess and diagnose the underlying pattern of imbalance behind your health concern. Treatment is then aimed at improving symptoms, whilst addressing the root cause.

This holistic approach is the foundation of Chinese Medicine.

A life-long fascination with martial arts, meditation and healing lead him to study Chinese Medicine after a corporate career in Brisbane and return to the Gold Coast to set up an Acupuncture clinic in Burleigh Waters.

He is continually furthering his knowledge of the body’s remarkable ability to heal itself and is a constant student of the work of pioneers in this area such as Wim Hof (The Ice Man), Dr Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden and Dr Bruce Lipton.

As an Acupuncturist Dr Baker has evolved his treatments into the Neo-Classical Acupuncture (NCA) style, which requires less needles, intuitively treating at the deepest level of imbalance with great results. It has only been taught in English for a little over 2 years. Previously Dr Baker had been a dedicated Balance Method practitioner - like the founder of NCA - applying the teachings of past masters Dr Richard (Teh-Fu) Tan and also Master Tung who both revolutionised modern Acupuncture by teaching some of the most effective treatment strategies ever known.

He has been lucky enough to learn from some of the best Balance Method and Neoclassical Acupuncture practitioners locally and internationally, mentors who consistently deliver quality treatments for pain and disease in very busy clinical environments.

Through wide-ranging observation, critical questioning and research Scott has learnt the true physiological basis of Acupuncture.

Dr Baker applies a combination of Acupuncture, pulse & tongue diagnosis, patented Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese dietary advice in clinical practice. He also encourages patients to take an interest in their own powerful ability to improve their health.
